THE TRADESMEN'S MART.

THE Tradesmen's Mart for many years was a prominent feature in Lower Parliament Street.

Its construction was unique, and unlike any of the neighbouring buildings: the upper portion being used for residence, and the lower section for the sale of goods and the carrying on of business. This old-fashioned series of shops and dwellings existed for the purposes of sundry branches of trade until just a few years ago, when it was completely rased to the ground to allow of more modern erections, and the general improvement of that locality.
