Misses J & A Kirk shop frontage

Misses J. & A. KIRK.

THESE premises, at the corner of South Parade and Peck Lane, stand upon a historic site, for there was the birthplace, two centuries and a half ago, of the famous banking house of the Smiths. But for more than forty years it has been occupied by the Misses J. and A. Kirk, and their predecessor, the late James Kirk. This well-known firm dates from 1840, and is one of the oldest and best reputed in the city. No lady of Nottingham or the surrounding country but is well aware that the Misses Kirk's stock of Millinery is unsurpassed for its completeness, its variety, the taste of its selection, and the lowness of the prices.
