The Orangery, Rufford Abbey

The Organgery at Rufford Abbey started life as a bath house and summer pavilion. It was built in 1729 by Sir George Savile to a design of John Hallam. The building was converted into an orangery or hothouse for exotic plants by Sir John Savile in 1889.

After years of neglect, Nottinghamshire County Council restored the Orangery in 1995.
