On the opposite page we have pleasure in giving an illustration of the Head Offices and Works of this progressive firm. The business was originally founded by Mr. W. A. Coombs, in 1885, and so rapidly developed that live years later more extensive premises were secured in Stanford Street, and the enterprise turned into a Limited Liability Co., with the respected founder as the Managing Director. His original Co-Directors, Messrs. Joseph Peek (chairman), J.W. Hodges, and D.Y. Lorimer, still serve with him on the Board, and take an active interest in the management of this enterprising concern. Stanford Street premises soon proved too small and the splendid new buildings in Lenton Boulevard were erected to cope with the great demand for the firm's many excellent specialities. The success of the " Eureka " Aerated Flour—enabling persons of the weakest digestion to partake of cakes and pastry produced from it without fear of any unpleasant results—has been quite phenomenal, and has resulted in the introduction of other well-known articles. Amongst these may be mentioned,

The firm also supplies Farrar's " Isobel " Pastry Roller, the rights in which have become their property by purchase.
The London Establishment of the Company, at 8 and 8a, Farringdon Road, is under the direction of Mr. D. Y. Lorimer, and comprises the depot, a sale room, general and private offices, etc.
